3 Resources for Recycling & Living Sustainably
I’m a huge recycling nerd and I even took a class in my county to become a Recycling Ambassador where I learned all about how recycling work in our area and what we can do to help recycle or clear out waste as well as I can. Here are some of my best tips and resources that I have found lately to help you! Feel free to comment below if you have any questions and I can try to help!
Ridwell
Have you heard about this really cool company called Ridwell? They sustainably reuse and recycle your waste or recyclable products. One of the most helpful things that they take are multilayer plastics like food storage bags, pet food bags, frozen food bags and more layer packaging. They also take plastic film, clothes/shoes/textiles, household batteries, household lightbulbs, bottle caps, corks, bread tags styrofoam, and more! If you want to check it out, here is a LINK where you could receive your first month of Ridwell for free.

TerraCycle
TerraCycle has some great resources for recycling including a list of free recycling programs from many companies. There are free programs for dog food bags, toys and games, food storage containers, makeup containers, shoes, clothes, and more!

Earth911
A great website where you can type in what you are trying to recycle, put in your zip code and it will tell you where and how you can recycle that item. There are lots of other great resources on this website too.
